Maison Mumtaz
Terms of Sale & Service
These terms govern your use of this website and any order you place with the house. By browsing the maison or reserving an extrait, you accept them in full.
The house and these terms
This website is operated by Maison Mumtaz (“the house”, “we”, “us”). These terms apply to every visit and every order. We may revise them from time to time, and the version in force is the one published here on the date you place your order.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
Orders and acceptance
An order placed through this website is an offer to purchase. It is accepted only once we confirm dispatch by email. Until then, we may decline or cancel an order for reasons that include:
- The extrait is no longer available or was listed in error.
- A pricing or descriptive error has been identified.
- Payment could not be authorised or verified.
- We are unable to ship to the address provided, or applicable law prevents the sale.
Where an order is cancelled after payment, we refund the full amount by the original method.
Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in the currency selected on site and are inclusive of applicable taxes where indicated. Any currency other than the billing currency is presented for guidance only; the amount charged is determined by your payment provider at the prevailing rate.
Payment is taken at the time of order through our secure payment partners. The house does not store full card details on its own systems. Duties and import charges, where they apply, are the responsibility of the recipient.
Bespoke composition
Where you commission a scent through the atelier, the composition is prepared to your specification from real, named perfumery materials. Because each bespoke sample is made to order, it is treated as a personalised good and is exempt from the standard right of return described below, except where it arrives faulty or not as described.
The house composes only what it can honestly source and blend. If a requested direction cannot be built faithfully, we will tell you rather than substitute it.
Delivery
We ship worldwide through tracked carriers. Estimated delivery times are indicative and not guaranteed. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you provide. If a parcel arrives damaged, keep the packaging and contact us within seven days so we can resolve it.
Returns and cancellation
You may return an unopened, sealed extrait within fourteen days of delivery for a refund of the product price. For reasons of hygiene and product integrity, fragrance that has been opened or used cannot be returned unless it is faulty.
To begin a return, write to atelier@mumtazperfumes.com. Return shipping is at your cost unless the item is faulty or was sent in error. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the goods are received and inspected.
Intellectual property
The Mumtaz name, wordmark, compositions, photography, and the contents of this website are the property of the house or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view and share the site for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, adapt, or exploit any part of it commercially without our written permission.
Acceptable use
You agree to use this website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or submit content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others. We may suspend access where this is not observed.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, the house is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Fragrance is a personal matter. As with any cosmetic, discontinue use if irritation occurs, and consult the allergen disclosure provided with each composition.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the house is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive authority over them. This does not remove any protection you have as a consumer under the law of your own country of residence.
